The value of a Springfield 1846 .69 caliber musket in excellent condition varies slightly with the collector's market. This gun could fetch about 4000 dollars at auction.

Interesting, the receiver was made after 1930 and the barrel 1922. Doubtful if the barrel is original.

That is an interesting question... The short answer is, "It is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it." Right now they go for around $1000. I have seen periods where they go for $1200 to $2400. If you need a grand right now I would sell but if you do not keep it and scan Gunbroker.com or Gunsamerica and keep your finger on the pulse of what is going on in the market. I believe they were mfg in the 1940's. If your rifle is in good condition and the action and stock are relatively in working order, your rifle is probably worth between 75$ - 130$. It's value is predicated on it's condition.

If on the barrel it says J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY MODEL 56 IT WAS MADE BETWEEN 1920 AND 1942. They were an affordable gun during the depression and to this day are highly accurate. Value for this gun in excellant condition could be $200 to poor condition $50. I have one and have used it to teach my girls how to shoot responsibly. It was my grandfathers and someday i will hand it down to my kids like my father did to me. Still as accurate as it was out of the box with the original scope. Hope this helps Rick Cape Cod

I wish I had an answer I an looking for the same thing I have one that I am working on right now I came from my grandmothers barn owned by my great grandfather I have got bits and pieces of info they were made in late 1800 and early 1900 built in Boston mass I woluld love to find out more do you have a pic

The best advise I can give you is to check the serial number for one and know what year it represents. You can get a list of dates and the serial numbers to match that date from Browning's web site just click on services and info tab and in the search bar type in age my gun. Also the blueing and condition of the wood play a big part in the value. That is about all I can tell you at this point. Hope it was some help. Before a question like this can be answered (Please) state the Model, Guage or Caliber, Serial number (for dating) and a reasonable description of condition. Then ask the question and you will get a better response on WikiAnswers. you could do that or in my case i halve bought and sold many belgiums between and around for $700-$1200 depending on adge, shape,and detail.

apparently from what i have found this rifle was bought new for like 45 bucks. maybe alittle more. and it was made between 1936 and 1948. it might be worth 100 to 125 dollars. this info is from research i did on the internet from other people askin similar questions and there responses. i think the years it was made might have been from the model 53b. they cant be that far apart from each other. the difference is the 53 a firing pin has to be reset manual. the 53 b resets when the bolt is opened. my 53 a does not have a safety and the 53b does. i dont know if im missing parts or not. i dont think that i am. hope this helps

i would be interested in getting a picture of the 87c model.....i am trying to get one of each 87~ and i don't know what the "c" model looks like. as for your answer~i have been searching for months for info on these models, and it is a mystery still! dates? amount made? why some models are marked the same, but are different!? thank you! I have a 12 ga 67F, 28" modified that I bought in a pawn shop in 1973. Still shoots great after thousands of rounds. I paid $65 for it then.

I have just purchased a 187S Savage with Springfield scope( 4x ). I paid $65.00 for it.

The value is $100.00 dollars to $250.00 in prestine condition. Flaws and damage take away from value-scratches and chips-etc.

The Stevens Visible Loader, sometimes called the "Miserable Loader" because of its tendency to malfunction, was made from 1907 well into the 1930s. They are fairly common guns on on-line auction sites and at gunshows. Value depends on condition and exact model. Most were the Model 70 and today bring $100 to $400. Models with fancy sites, pistol-grip stock and other embellishments can carry price tags of up to $600 if in great condition, but they are slow to sell at that price. An "average" price" is $250 to $325.

I was/am researching info on my own Savage 24V .30-30 over 20 ga, and came across a site that stated the 24V was only manufactured during 1967. I will try to back-track my history/bookmarks to see if I can find the site again. -- Actually, no. -- The 24V guns, in various configurations, were made through about 1989. This gun was made in the late 1970's.

The model 54 series was made from 1933 to 1942 according to the information in the Blue Book, but it does not indicate what type of firearm it was. The Standard Catalog says the No. 54 was a lever action single shot target rifle manufactured from 1897 to 1916. No matter which is right, a single shot bolt action .410 would probably bring less than $100.

This is probably an 1894 Favorite. Depending on condition, it is worth $125(poor) to $400 (excellent). A drawback is the scarcity of .25-caliber ammunition.

It's value is almost entirely dependant on the condition and history. I've seen them sell for as much as $5,000 and as little as $200.

My father in- law bought his gun over 30 years ago.

It's a model 107B. Made sometime between 1920 and 1948, but I think the tenite stocks were not used until after WWII. Can't tell you if ANY ammo is safe to use in it without seeing it, but it was DESIGNED for modern powders, probably 2 3/4 inch shells (3 inch if it is a 410) in whatever gauge fits the chamber. It was not designed for steel shot, but it would not cause catastrophic failure if used, just accelerated wear to the barrel. May not want to use slugs unless a gunsmith has verified that it is not tightly choked. If you plan on shooting an older gun when you do not know what type of care it has had, always have an experienced smith check it first and don't believe anything (except this statement) that you read on the web.

think if someone asked you what is my 'ford' worth?? You would ask a number of questions...... In your case is it a rifle or carbine ? what is the condition of metal, wood, bore. what is serial number. Is it a 50/70 cal (early conversion) or 45/70 later model...........today the trapdoor can bring anywhere from $400 to $1500, depending...
