it is the energy out put curve of a warp drive, the top line is how much energy it takes to reach warp speed and the bottom line is how much energy it takes to maintian that speed

In actual fact, the Star Trek Symbol is a styalised arc of an orbital path. Gene took it from NASA's logo, the white line orbiting the earth like a comet trail. Like looking at the rings of Saturn when a circle is seen from a distance at an angle it becomes an elipse, an oval. The Star Trek symbol is half of this shape styalised. This is supposed to be one of the elements kept & evolved from Nasa to the future of Starfleet, just as the UFP has elements of the UN.

It contains 26 letters (21 consonants and 5 vowels) with a one-to-one grapheme-phoneme correspondence: that is, one letter represents one sound and one sound is written with one letter. There are also ten numerals.

This varies from ship to ship (there are many ships named USS Enterprise in the Star Trek universe).

Enterprise NX-01 (without the USS prefix) had a crew compliment of 83.

Enterprise 1701 and 1701-A from the original series and movies had 430.

Enterprise 1701-D from The Next Generation had 1000 (but that included the civilian families of the crew as well).

Enterprise 1701-E (from the latest TNG movies) had a crew compliment of 885.

Historically, the most unfortunate thing the United States ever did, was to scrap their most decorated USN warship, the USS Enterprise CV-6. The Enterprise was saved for preservation just after WWII, but unfortunately she was re-activated for the Korean War in 1950; for reasons unknown, the Enterprise did not return to "preservation status" after the Korean War and the US public didn't seem to have the interest in raising the necessary funds to save her, even though USN Admiral Halsey led the fight to preserve her. The Enterprise was scrapped in 1959.

The Enterprise was the ONLY survivor of the Yorktown class aircraft carriers during WWII: USS Yorktown was sunk at the Battle of Midway and the USS Hornet was sunk during the Battle of Santa Cruz (Islands).

With the original fighting Enterprise gone, the only "most decorated" US warship today is, and also the only Vietnam War veteran battleship, the Iowa class fast battleship USS New Jersey.

Leonard Nimoy who played in the role of "Spock" is still alive .

"NCC" is the registry prefix used on Federation starships in Star Trek. For example, the Enterprise is NCC-1701. Matt Jefferies, the original designer of the Enterprise, based it off the "NC" prefix used on American civilian aircraft and added an extra "C" because he thought it looked better. It's never been established what "NCC" stands for within the Star Trekuniverse.

Immediately after Disney aquired LucasFilm and the rights to Star Wars they announced another trilogy. The First of which, Episode VII is set to release in 2015. Disney has also announced several additional films focusing solely on certain characters. Han Solo and Boba Fett have been confirmed. The new Trilogy is supposed to take place some 20-30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi with Mark Hamil, Carrie Fischer, and Harrsion Ford all set to reprise their roles. The Han Solo Film is supposed to take place somewhere between the events of Episode III and Episode IV, meaning a new Han Solo will need to be cast.

Spock is half-human, half Vulcan. Vulcan culture is oriented around logic, and suppressing their deep and powerful emotions. They are a very mentally disciplined people, and that discipline usually grants great intelligence as well.
Spock's father, Sarek, was Vulcan, and his mother was Human.
