Can the stomach digest alcohol?
Enzymes in the stomach act to break down a proportion of the alcohol taken in by a person.
This system is designed to prevent an excessive rise in blood alcohol levels.
However, these enzymes are less active in women than in men. This means that a greater proportion of alcohol is likely to end up in their bloodstream.

What is the color of the stomach wall?
Clear - ish. It's hydrochloric acid (HCl), also known as pool acid (it's what you put in pools to make them acidic), muriatic acid, and hydrogen chloride.
Does the stomach perform both mechanical and chemical digestive processes?
the stomach does have both chemical and mechanical digestion. Mechanical-the walls of muscle in the stomach push food back and forth Chemical-digestive chemicals rain from try walls and breaks down big food molecules to smaller ones
Chemical that breaks down fats into small droplets and helps neutralize stomach acids?
Bile juice does the digestion or emulsification of fats.
pinched nerves in the back and shoulders can cause stomach numbness
Why does the stomach have a thick muscle wall?
The function of the stomach wall is to protect your stomach from eating itself.
It has a coating of mucus on the inside that renews itself every three days and stops the hydrochloric acid in your stomach from dissolving itself.
What antacid is best for neutralizing stomach acid?
They are all the same potency for the same amount of calcium carbonate in a tablet as stated on the label.
You may have different preferences with regard to the available flavors on each brand. The labels will also show different inactive ingredients such as sweeteners (sugar, dextrose or sucralose) and different food coloring ingredients. If it has dextrose, it may also contain a tiny amount of gluten. Some people may claim to be allergic to some food colorings.
Does wine settle an upset stomach?
It depends on the reason for your upset stomach. Many reasons involve an excessively high PH , which means higher acidity. In this case you would take something with a LOW PH such as tums, which is sodium bi-carbonate. Vinegar has a high PH and will most likely not solve your ailment in this scenario.
Either way refer to this handy guide

I believe many of the "uses" of vinegar are wives tales and myths.
[EDIT] The above answer was incorrect. Acidic indigestion happens when the stomach pH is too LOW, not high. Low = acidity, High = basic. Tums itself does not have an acidity, it is a buffer that reduces acidity (aka RAISING pH) to stop acidic indigestion. Vinegar is a base, and would have the same net effect in this case. This is also called heartburn when it travels up the esophagus.
However, it could be the reverse, too high pH will slow digestion and cause indegestion. If it's this case, then acidic beverages would help; citrus fruits, soda, and tea will usually calm that. I call this "iron tummy" because it feels like your stomach has turned to iron, but that's not medical.
It's unlikely a shot of vinegar would cure it (it's too basic and will throw stomach pH all over). You'd be better off taking antacids (which buffer the pH so it doesn't bounce around). Soda helps me the most. To each his own.
What term is given to the Soupy substance food converted into when it leaves the stomach?
Acids in the stomach turn ingested food into a substance called chyme. The chyme then passes into the duodenum, where the digestion process continues.
The soupy like mixture in the small intestine is called Chyme. It is a mixture of sugars, amino acids, fattly acids, and also vitamins and minerals.
CHYME. Also known as chymus, it is the liquid substance found in the stomach before passing through the pyloric valve and entering the duodenum. It results from the mechanical and chemical breakdown of a bolus and consists of partially digested food, water, hydrochloric acid, and various digestive enzymes.
What disease causes vomiting diarrhea severe stomach cramps and fever?
A lot of reactions & diseases. Don't freak out just do your research. Whether you have irritable bowel syndrome, UC, Crohns or you've come in contact with e. coli there are some things you can do right now to ease any pain, discomfort or inflammation you may have.
B/C of the bloody diarrhea you definitely have internal inflammation. Go to a health food store or (some walmarts) and get MSM (in capsule form), a big jug of 100% organic aloe juice ( drink @ least 8 oz. per day). Those are both natural anti- inflammatories. You may also want to try Solaray (that's the brand) Yeast-Cleanse. Full of Caprylic acid ( a great anti viral and bacterial), garlic (very good for your GI track) and magnesium.
Also you need to start taking a good probiotic. You can start with Keifer yogurt. (Learn about probiotics) Do NOT eat anything with nuts or seeds or anything too hard for your body to digest (even the skin of apples) b/c the good bacteria in your digestive system is low. And anything to hard becomes like sand against a wound, only its inside your body and you can't see the damage it is doing.
Lastly it if you can afford it try to buy your produce & meats organic. Pesticides breakdown your immune system. The damage that the food industry has done to our bodies is so severe and also the cause of many sicknesses and diseases. Dont just do what doctors tell you. Do your own research & educate yourself.
What would cause your stomach to twitch?
Twitching in any part of your body can be caused by a couple of things;
1) Not enough electrolytes, causing your nerves to mis-fire
2) Over-exertion
A simple solution would be to drink a sports drink with potassium in it, or have a banana and see if the twitching stops.
(Lack of electrolytes used to give me horrible cramps in my feet, until I learned what was causing it and started making sure I got enough potassium in my system)

In normal conditions without any medication or specially formulated diets or anything, not very long. What Muscle at the most inferior portion of the stomach?
The muscle at the most inferior portion of the stomach is the pyloric sphincter. It is a circular band of smooth muscle located at the junction between the stomach and the small intestine (specifically the duodenum). The pyloric sphincter regulates the passage of partially digested food, known as chyme, from the stomach into the small intestine, ensuring proper digestion and absorption.
What is your stomach lining for?
the stomach lining is made up of a histological layer (tissue layer) called "mucosa". as we gather from the name the layer constitutes mainly of mucous. the stomach is a site for churning and digestion of food with the help of enzymes like pepsin and hydrochloric acid (HCl). this acid can also harm the stomach muscles causing lesions which we popularly know as "peptic ulcers". the mucosa layer prevents the stomach muscles from coming in contact with the acid thus preventing the occurence of ulcers.
