A tape worm diet is a method of weight loss that involves the ingestion of an intestinal parasite called a tape worm. Currently, the use of tape worms for dieting is illegal in the U.S. due to the dangers presented to the host, and due to the risk of spreading the larvae to other persons through lack of personal hygiene. It is also illegal to import tape worms into the U.S. whether they are in the body or not. This has lead to the opening of clinics in Mexico where one can ingest the larvae for several thousand dollars. It is strongly advised that people wishing to start any dieting regimen or weight loss program consult their physician.

Tapeworm is definitely not a fungi. Ringworm I believe is a fungal infection but as all other infections called worms really are some kind of worm. If you use a search engine with 'tapeworm class species and family' I'm sure you can get a better idea of whether it is a protist, round worm, flat worm etc, but I think it might even be a segmented worm.

You can catch tapeworms by eating pork, beef, or fish that is not cooked properly. This is one of the primary reasons for cooking food thoroughly. A single tapeworm produces enough eggs to infect every single person in the world.

they are parasites. they fix themselves to your intestine, where nutrients are absorbed..
it gets all nutrients from your body and happily stays there......
however, some or the other time, it gets excreted...
