The best armour for an Acrobat would be light armour of some variety. Generally the lighest possible armour would be best, but as you advance in level this would be poorer for combat, by upgrading your Light Armour and Sneak skills though you should be able to get the most advanced Light armour you can acquire though (which will also be the heaviest) and be able to wear that without any penalties to stealth due to the abilities granted by the high Sneak and Light Armour skills.

get yourself up to at least lvl 20, then go and search the mythic dawn's base. You will find it there.

The only way to make a staff is through the first quest in the Arcane University. to get to this quest, you must first complete the quests for the mage's guild recommendations, none of which are particularly hard but all tedious. the subsequent quest in the arcane university requires you to get some wood for a staff in a cave that's then apparently filled with necromancers. After that you can make a staff out of that wood and finish the quest.

You will always have a spell in use on Oblivion. If you don't want to use that spell, then simply select a different one. :)
