Well when you learned you were dragonborn, and got summoned to the greybeards, they will teach you it. Go to them if you haven't done that.

Go to the dwemer ruins you are assigned to (name too hard to remember). Then once in the 'hall of centrifuge' which you should already be in once entering the ruins, walk down to the bottom to where the bandits were standing. Kill them. You can now see the exterior of a dwemer building. Instead of going throught the door on the lower level you can see an upper ledge/level. Either levitate, jump (if you can) or walk up a ramp of collapsed rocks. Once up there enter through the door on that level. Inside should be a smuggler boss (he is very easy to defeat) On an old dwemer bookshelf you can see the box amidst other treasures. Additional points: The name of the ruins is Arkngthand Sturdumz. It is located north and slightly east of Moonmoth Legion Fort. From the town of Balmora take the road that heads east and turn left just before you reach the fort then climb east up the hill. The entrance is just to the right across a large Dwarven bridge. You have to activate the nearby crank to open the doors but be quick because they will only stay open for 20 seconds. You cannot pick up the Puzzle box until you have been asked to find it. When you pick it up your journal will be updated.

When you get disarmed, your weapon drops to the ground, you have to pick it up.

go to your map and find the imperial city and hover your cursor over the "arena district" and then fast travel there.

If you want to know how to get into the arena you go to the red guard in the iron armour and ask him about becoming a combatant

The quest can be started by reading one of the of the many 'Deathbrand' books you can find on Solstheim. Or, you can find the guarded Ancient Chest near Haknir's Shoal which will (as long as you are Lv38+) contain the Deathbrand Helm and start the quest also.

The only place to obtain it in Skyrim is to buy it from the Khajiit traders, rarely from apothecaries, and there are a few fixed locations where it can be found also.

Go to the Riften Marketplace during the day (9am - 5pm). You will be approached by a man at a stall and go through some dialogue about making some extra coin. If you accept, he will give you a quest to steal a necklace from another cart while he causes a distraction. You then have to slip the necklace into a man's pocket. After the quest, (even if you fail) he will invite you to fight your way through the sewers to the Ragged Flagon (Thieves HQ) and begin your new life as a thief.

Were you infected with Sanguinare Vampiris? You may have became a vampire without realizing. If this is a glitch then you could try asking Serana to make you into a vampire, then talk to the dawnguards. They will give you a quest to cure your Vampirism and you should be fine after that. If you can't become a Vampire from Serana skip to the second step and talk to the Dawnguard.
