The electronic key (remote-entry keyfob) has the lock/unlock/panic buttons on the top side and a Toyota logo on the bottom side. The front edge is what goes into the dash. On the rear edge is a keyring attached to a mechanical key and a slider to release it.
1) Hold the remote with the logo up and the slider facing away from your palm.
2) Move the slider to the right to release the mechanical key.
3) Hold the slider in the unlock position and use your thumb to press the entire logo section forward. (There is a ridge on this section to provide a grip.)
4) Remove the four screws with a very small Phillips screwdriver.
The remote takes the very common CR2032 battery, available everywhere.

if some of the blue clips are left in the actual hatch side i recommend using needle nose pliers to pop them out and put them back into the panel so when you put the panel back on it will hold it secure and not be loose to vibrate when you drive down the road

How do you replace a headlight on a Toyota Prius?
First, pull the plug from the back of the headlight bulb. Then, rotate the rubber boot anti clockwise about 1/4 of a turn. The boot will come off in your hand.
Locate the spring that holds the bulb in and push the tab towards the front of the car then up. The bulb should now fall into your hand.
Now, to create better access to the bulbs for people with bigger hands, take the top off the fuse box of before you start if the bulb is on that side, or on the other side, you can remove the air filter snorkel. This is done by removing the first plastic screw closest to the headlight on the plastic shroud that sits to the right of the headlight. When that one is out, you can lift the shroud up exposing a plastic pin. use a flat screwdriver to prise up the centre of the pin then pull out. This will now let you remove the snorkel.

Toyota Prius has a parallel gas and electric engine configuration. Which means, one engine type is capable of powering the car on its own. So while driving slow, the gas engine is completely turned off and it comes up only when more power is needed. This is why Prius has better mileage in city driving and is quieter while the gas engine is off.
Civic, however has serial gas - electric engine configuration. Both engine combine together to power the car at all time. This is why Civic's mileage is not as good as the Prius and the car is noisier as well.
The similarity between the two cars is the regenerative braking, which is basically electromagnetic braking system. The energy generated while braking is used to charge the batteries.

My original bulbs lasted 4 1/2 years. Then I made the mistake of using the most expensive bulbs because they should have been the best right? Wrong! They only lasted 3 months. When I went back to the least expensive - let's just put it this way- I went through 3 sets of the expensive ones in 7 months. Since I have put the least expensive bulbs in - I am going on 18 months without having to replace the bulbs. (be aware they usually blow out in pairs)
