I have recently come across an oil painting ( sea scape style) boats in a cove shape waters about 80 cm X 65cm , pretty old, cracked oil paint, signed tony, I have posted it in my facebook page, I am looking for its artist's ID.

Corrections: It was painted in 1881 by Millais for The Graphic and was made into a print. The correct title is "Little Mrs. Gamp" and it depicts a Dickens character - Sairey Gamp - as she might have been as a child. Mrs. Gamp, the Dickens character, was always with a bonnet and an umbrella.

It was displayed in the US in Buffalo, NY. for the grand opening of Albright Art Gallery 31 May 1905

One of the booths had many paintings of seamen, woodsmen, and others. There was one painting of a Rabbi and I purchased it. The other faces had many views, and most were the same or similar faces. The outstanding eyes were common to all. All of these were J. Fuller paintings I do not know if the man in the booth was the artist or not.

However, the painting you are describing reminds me of a painting called "Lady with a parasol" by Monet.

I too was interested in such an answer (Groucho Marx refers to a painting of such title being tatooed on 'Lydia the tattoed Lady' in his song of that name). An entry on Google states that William McTaggart RSA (presumably Member of Royal Scottish Academy) painted a picture with that title based upon the poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. There are edible paints used by specialty bakeries that can be used on cakes etc. With a light touch and an airbrush used specifically for edible paint, you can paint on sugar cubes.

Also, if you are just using the cubes as a base, with no intent to eat them, you can in fact spray paint them.

I would however suggest a good airbrush and not an aerosol spray can.
