If you enlist for a specific job, and get orders to attend that school directly following bootcamp, it will depend on the length of time that school takes. Most enlistments are between 4 and 5 years. Fine print states however that you owe your country 7yrs. What this means is lets say you get out of the service after you 4-5 year contract, the military can recall you for up to seven years after you original enlistment date. Don't fret they only do this during times of need.
