The town celebrated Founders' Day, with Damon making playful advances towards Elena, but the tomb vampires wanted revenge on everyone for their entombment. iding out in Grayson Gilbert's old business building, Johnathan Gilbert told Mayor Lockwood about the device that Bonnie didn't actually deactivate and managed to activate it as soon as the fireworks started.

This caused all of the tomb vampires, Anna, Stefan and Damon to collapse due to their ability to hear the loud pitched ringing emitted by it. All of the vampires, except for Stefan, were injected with vervain and transfered to the basement where it was set alight but Anna was staked by John beforehand.

He had earlier handcuffed Sheriff Forbes after he knocked her out and when Carol Lockwood releases her she tells her that Mayor Lockwood also collapsed but she's unsure why as he's not a vampire. In the burning basement, Mayor Lockwood and Damon see one another and Mayor Lockwood asks him what he's doing there, so Damon reveals he's a vampire, which causes Mayor Lockwood to scramble over another vampire and end up dying, due to his neck being snapped.

Another person who is affected by these events in Tyler, who has been told to go home with Caroline and Matt by taking Mayor Lockwoods car. As soon as the device was activated, he also heard the loud piercing ring in his ears and it caused him to crash the car. As paramedics tried to revive him at the scens, they saw something strange happen to his eye and Matt saw Caroline unconscious on the ground.

Stefan managed to save Damon from the burning building, thanks to Bonnie's spell, but was later warned by her that Damon had to change, as there would be consequences if he didn't. Damon did a disappearing act soon after his rescue and went to see Jeremy, where he admitted that he wanted to help Anna and also apologised for what he did to Vicki. Jeremy told him that Anna said that vampires can shut off their emotions so they don't feel pain and asked whether life was easier that way. Damon revealed that life sucks whether a person is a vampire or not but even if they are a vampire they don't have to feel sorry about it. Damon says he did it for a very long time and life was a lot easier for him. Jeremy later drinks Anna's blood and empties Elena's pain medication onto the sink in the bathroom and later collapses on his bed.

As Damon leaves the Gilbert house, he encounters Elena who has returned home after collecting her belongings from the school. He confesses to her that he had originally come to the town wanting to destroy it but after the events of that evening, he wanted to protect it. He admits that he's no hero and tells her that she decided at some stage that he was worth saving and thanks her for it, planting a kiss on her cheek before they kiss passionately. Jenna interrupts them and Elena walks inside the house, as Damon touches his lips and leaves.

Inside the house, Jonathan is in the kitchen and tells Elena about why he hates vampires so much - it's because of what Isobel became. Elena thanks him for explaining it and looks at his ring before suddenly chopping off his fingers, which makes him realise that it's not Elena but, in fact, Katherine. She stabs him just as Elena arrives home to hear a noise coming from the kitchen, as the episode ends.

Jane and Demetri are both part of the guard and because of Chelsea they all have a relationship with one another. Jane and Demetri are probably really close friends, since they are always going on missions together, also in Eclipse it said that if Jane asked Demetri to do something he would do it. Jane and Demetri could have a romantic relationship in the future because they are both very close in personality wise, but right now they are close friends not lovers if that's what your asking. But there is still a chance in the future if Aro allows it.

Yes, he does show up in one episode in season 6. But he's not there to stay though and leaves again at the ending of the episode.

Also, it depends on what book or episode you are on. If you mean the latest book, Damon becomes a human again. If you mean the Vampire Diaries episodes, well, you just have to tag along to understand.

Hahaha not that anyone knows about. He had a bird in the first couple episodes, but they got rid of.

The new season is starting this month. It will be much more dramatic and more in- appropriate.

Actually it's Damon and he, Stefan and Elena find her in the THIRD book The Fury when...oh wait not gonna spoil it...

Elena is technically dead in the Dark Reunion.

In the Fury, she's a vampire but is killed.

So, she's dead and can only talk to her friends through ouji boards and with Bonnie's help. But she doesn't stay dead, but i don't want to ruin the book for youu lol.

The books are classified as 'Young Adult' literature, so I'd say older teens would enjoy it. The show would also be suited to older teens as there is a fair amount of scary scenes in it, which would be more suitable for older teens.
