Why does a small amount of beer make you vomit?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Maybe because your body doesn't like beer, so it rejects it.

It's possible you have a fructose intolerance. Most beers are brewed with corn, which is high in fructose.

It could be celiac disease. Which means you'll also feel the same way after eating bread.

It might be that the beer taps at the establishment you're buying from are not cleaned properly and therefore are teeming with bacteria. Some people are more sensitive to bacteria than others.

You don't *need* to drink beer. it is not essential to life nor any bodily functions. It is something you can live without.

See a doctor if you are concerned.

Will a spoonful of cinnamon make you vomit?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

My one friend tried to do it and he immediately put the cinnamon in the back of his throat to try and swallow it so he threw up. Then my other friend tried and he just kept it on his tongue and swallowed in little by little and didn't throw up. Both of them said it dries out your mouth as soon as you eat it though.

What does it mean when a hamster vomits?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Your hamster does not cough but it makes a noise like a cough, this means that the hamster is rubbing its paws against its skin to remove unwanted dirt. There is no need to worry about that but if it doesn't do it often enough it could catch a cold, if so then take it to the vet ASAP.

Chewing gum actually makes you hungrier, because you are tricking your stomach into thinking its ready to digest. I don't think chewing gum can make most people vomit, but with sensitive stomachs, it is highly possible.

How do you clean vomit off of a leather sofa?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I found a solution that cleaned 2 year old vomit from my leather couch, from a similar situation of a child being sick.

Buy foaming Saddle Soap from an equestrian store. This will clean the leather down to the source of the smell (in my case I had tried several remedies including Nature's Miracle, Febreeze, and other items to clean/mask the smell).

The Saddle Soap brand I used was Fiebings. Then I put A LOT of fresh unused baking soda on the leather and rubbed it in (don't use the stuff that has been sitting in your refrigerator). Vacuum up the excess. This will kill the smell about 50% and open any barrier that keeps the leather from getting wet.

After the leather dries for a day or two, make a water and baking soda "batter" and rub it on the leather. The solution will soak in, so you'll see the leather darken from being wet. Let this dry a bit and just use a vacuum brush to remove the dried baking soda.

After rubbing off any excess baking soda, let the leather dry, then treat the leather with appropriate leather conditioner for your couch. I used Lexol Conditioning Wipes which I also found at the equestrian store. I can't believe I finally have a couch that I don't have to hide or wrap in blankets.

This has changed the color a little of the leather, but I think it is better than having a couch that reeks or having to resort to buying a new one.

Do you vomit yellow when you have alcohol poisoning?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes. Maybe at other times too, I don't know. But when you have alcohol poisoning, yes.

If you have this, drink water. Tiny sips at a time. Try not to move to much, I usually put a bucket on the floor next to the bed. It's sip puke, sip puke. Just don't stop sipping. Even if your throat goes raw. Don't dehydrate.

Try sleep, after a few hours add a dash of lemon juice to the water you're sipping (and puking). About twelve hours later, max, you should be able to slowly sip a glass of grapefruit juice. This is the best thing now as it's a liver kick start and hydrates you a little. Then nibble a piece of toast, if you dare.

Don't drink again. If possible.
