Well there are many causes of pollution but I will just name a few. First of all, cars and factories cause pollution. Also, littering can cause pollution.

We do it, not on purpose, but in trying to machine objects

Our responsibility is changing because many people are trying to stop water pollution and are trying their best to reduce it but not every one feels strongly on stopping it and they are continually polluting the water and making it harder for the people that are trying to stop the pollution or reverse it and they are protesting to save rivers oceans and lakes so why pollute when it just effects you.

Depends on what you are polluting with. Rappers and pop cans and stuff can be hazzardous because animals will eat these things and choke and probably die. No. Boiled means exactly that - it's been heated past the boiling point. Filtered measn it's been pumped /poured through a sieve. A filter is good to get rid of particles, but may struggle with bacteria. Boiling doesn't do squat for particles, but is really good to kill off bacteria with.
