The essential plot or story line is brought to a conclusion,. Fior example in a typical Dragnet plot- the crime is solved and adjudicated. Many films have unusual questions that are developed during the plot line- unless one uses the (Hioax) or (Nightmare) plot twist device, the ends are usuaully tied up and satisfied in the denoument- the end structure. Some pictures do not do this well. the circumstances surrounding the two-year time warp in ( The Lake House) were not satisfactorily explained at the end.

Examples are metaphors and similes, allusions and references. What objects or images in the works are symbolic and why? What meanings do they have? What types of imagery prevail and why? Imagery of imprisonment or of freedom. Are references made that you don't understand?

These are just the labels for what humans do instinctively - tell stories. We are a storytelling animal, and people naturally weave these elements into tales for other people.

Interesting stories are ones that are about something the writer and reader cares about. Write what you enjoy writing, and the story is automatically more interesting!
