How are x rays harmful to the earth?
The problem is that X-rays are a form of ionizing radiation. When normal light hits an atom, it can't change the atom in any significant way. But when an X-ray hits an atom, it can knock electrons off the atom to create an ion, an electrically-charged atom. Free electrons then collide with other atoms to create more ions.=An ion's electrical charge can lead to unnatural chemical reactions inside cells. Among other things, the charge can break DNA chains. A cell with a broken strand of DNA will either die or the DNA will develop a mutation. If a lot of cells die, the body can develop various diseases. If the DNA mutates, a cell may become cancerous, and this cancer may spread. If the mutation is in a sperm or an egg cell, it may lead to birth defects. Because of all these risks, doctors use X-rays sparingly today.=

What is wet reading in x-raying?
"Wet reading" is an old term. It meant that the image was to be read by a doctor immediately after development, before even allowing it to dry, back in the days when x-rays were developed in a dark room by dipping the films into chemicals by hand. Today, some older doctors still use the term. It just means to have it read immediately. In most cases, it's a "stat call report."

a double x-ray beam takes pictures of the spine, hip, or entire body. It takes about 20 minutes to do, is painless, and exposes the patient to only a small amount of radiation--about one-fiftieth that of a chest x ray
There is no such thing as an x-ray mutagen. X-rays aremutagens. Mutagens cause changes to the genetic material in living cells, thus sometimes producing changes in the offspring of those sells.
How many roentgens would one receive with an x-ray exposure of 0.02?
An exposure of 0.02 what? No units are given, so conversion to roentgens cannot be made.
Do arteries show up on normal x ray?
Arteries probably won't show up on normal x-rays because x-rays are supposed to be used to show the bones; I am not completely sure what to say though.
X-rays travel with the velocity of?
X-rays are a type of electromagnetic radiation, and therefore travel at the speed of light. About 300,000 km/sec.
Answer... There are cancers that secrete hormones that can affect bone metabolism, just like normal hormones. There are also some treatments that can have an effect on hormones such as supressing male hormones [in males] to combat prostate cancer. The cancers that secrete hormones that would effect bone metabolism are pretty rare, however... The best thing would be for your practitioner to refer you to an endocrinologist who can order appropriate blood tests to determine the cause of your osteoporosis... And who can manage the condition. Hope things work out well for you!

To absorb the x-rays. Dentists and dental technicians might x-ray several people each day and the long term effect of the exposure could kill them if they didn't protect themselves.
its
because lead has high atomic number: 82, and it has high density which makes it resistent to radiation. that is why you have to wear lead apron.
Do you need schooling just to take X-rays and not read them?
You need to be properly trained to be an x-ray technician. Normally, you need to attend college for this training.
