What happens after a yorkie has meningitis?

Meningitis is inflammation of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord; it often causes severe neurologic deficits such as inability to walk, abnormal behavior and posture and sometimes seizures.

There are three possible outcomes from meningitis - death, full recovery or partial recovery. The first two (death and full recovery) are self-explanatory, but they are less likely than a partial recovery. In a partial recovery, the Yorkie may get better, but would still show residual signs of the inflammation such as occasional seizures or a head tilt. The actual outcome will depend upon what caused the meningitis in the first place, how fast it was treated, how bad it got and how well the Yorkie dealt with it.

I cannot tell you how many people go out looking for an expensive breed, only to discover that their dog is in fact a fake! I know it's awful to call a dog a fake...it is in fact a dog...so lets say you spend $2,000 on a Yorkshire terrier...but then your neighbor tells you the thing is a mutt. The fact of the matter is, it's wrong, and breeders nationwide are passing off these toy mutts as pure bred.

Here are some tips: You should always take pictures....show the vet ask other Purebred breeders ect ect

How big will your teacup yorke grow she is 19lbs at 9 weeks old?

A dog that is 19 pounds at 9 weeks old isn't a Teacup Yorkie, it's a mastiff or St. Bernard or some other extremely large breed.

I'm assuming you meant 1.9 lbs, which doesn't help us much, since it's not really possible to predict with any degree of accuracy exactly how big any given dog will get. Teacup Yorkies are generally 3 pounds or less fully grown, though, so I'm still having some doubts about what kind of dog you've actually got.

What are the Yorkshire terriers special skills?

My Yorkie is a bit on the small side, he only weighs 8lbs. However, he is a very good jumper and loves to chase frisbees. When it comes to training him for tricks, he can sit, stay, lay and roll over. He is a bit hard-headed though, he will only do these tricks on his terms or when there is a treat involved. He seems to like to do these tricks only for rewards. We still haven't figured out how to stop him from barking yet...hopefully there is a "quiet" trick we can teach him.

My female 3 lbs Yorkie who is 1 year old just got pregnant by my 4.5 lbs Yorkie. I planned to have her fixed in 2 weeks but i just saw them 'tied' so is she in danger having these pups?

This question needs more details to give anything close to an accurate figure, at least paw size, leg length and diameter, chest depth, neck size, and idea of what kind of dog. This would be better if moved to the discussion page for the information needed.

Is it bad to get a baby yorkie when you have an old yorkie?

It depends on how your older dog behaves. If he/she is well-behaved, not spoiled, and likes other dogs, chances are that your older dog will teach your new puppy some good behaviour. Beware: this also means that your new puppy will pick up on any bad behaviour that your older dog has. Do NOT get two dogs to keep each other company and to train each other because you will end up with 2 unruly dogs instead of just 1.
