Sounds like a bad starter solenoid
It is mounted on the top of the starter.
It is screewed in the engine block over by the starter.
disconnect negative battery cable, remove the two bolts that hold the starter, hold starter up and disconnect wires remove starter and install new starter reconnect negative battery cable
There is a chime module but if it is disconnected may also affect the interior lights.
It is located right above the starter for a 5.7l V8, not sure for the 4.3 or 5.0, probably the same place
You may have a blown fuse or a wire loose. Check these things to see if that is the problem.
NO.
will a 95 chevy k1500 transfer case hook up to a 96 chevy k1500 transmission
Your basic combination wrench set and 3/8" drive socket set should get the job done.
It is screewed into the passenger side of the engine block just in front of the starter. Thanks that what I thought. Actually I meant 1993 instead of 1995 but its the same place.
YES. They are the same.
Under passenger side of truck right below the starter. The slave cylinder for the clutch is in the Transmission Bell housing. You have to remove Transmission to repair it.
