How do you remove the brake rotors on a Volvo v90?

The first step is to remove the tires. Then you will need to remove the brake calipers, pads and all. Once this is done, in the center of the rotor where it attaches to the spindle should be a cap. Pry the cap off and you'll see the nut holding the rotor onto the spindle. Remove the cotter key and unscrew the nut and the rotor will come off.

Do you want to keep the seat? I've been looking for that exact seat because mine is missing. If you had it and were close enough, I'd pay for it to be removed for you.

How long can a Volvo engine last if serviced properly?

Mine previously 740 (1985) was never server properly. Previous owner always offered his car for service by 'a one mechanic garage' In 1997 the car had 240.000 kms and I became the new owner and I continued the service attitude of the prevous owner. The car WA put on LPG at that time (but without replacing the head). With 415.000 kms a new head was required but it was to expensive to replace the head. The car was swapped for a 940 and I presume that was the end of the 740 (I presume).

The new 940 (build 1992, bought 2001) had 250.000 kms and was on LPG from the beginning. It was propered serviced by Serva Volvo in Soest. In 2007 with 490.000 kms I bougt a newer 940 with 250.000 kms on it. The old car became the car of mine wife but she likes to have a smaller one. Now with 502.000 kms we are looking for a new owner for it.

The latest 940 (1998) was a LPG car too and will ride for years.

This car is serviced by the same official Volvo dealer and I must admit that this is done much better that any local garagist can do it.

But even with lesser professional service a Volvo 700/900 must be able to make 500.000.

I don't know. I have tried to find out but I bump into something first and my insurrance company totals the car due to high milage.

380,000 Miles on one without engine or transmission repair. except wear items like crank position sensor, Spark plugs at 200,000 mi, fuel filter, Oil and filter every 20 to 40,000 miles, Oil seals once and a couple timing belts and a water pump.
