If your talking about his physical appearance, it didn't change. At the end of the last book (Crocodile Tears) Alex turned 15. However, Alex is described to show pain and knowledge in his eyes way beyond his years. Basically, he changed from being a simple English schoolboy to a teen age spy who witnessed people being killed or doing horrible things. Also, although Alex has never directly killed anyone he was certainly responsible for several bad guys' deaths. All of that has taken a toll on Alex. You understand better the way Alex has changed if you read the books. It's hard to describe how much he changed throughout 7 books in just a couple sentences.
