South Asia is the region around, and to the North of, India. It includes Iran, Tibet, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and The Maldive Islands. The region has a hugely varied climate and topography, ranging from the tropical rainforests of Bangladesh to the deserts of Pakistan through to the tundra of Eastern Afghanistan and Tibet.
