I have the same problem I am gonna go to the dealer to see what it is I tried every thing but if you find a answer email me at ttown692002@Yahoo.com If the thermostat is stuck it will give a check engine light and the needle on the guage will not work, will require new thermostat Hello, I took the Impala to the shop three times, they claimed it burned up the Body control modual twice and they reprogramed it the last time will see if it keeps working. AC would quit along with the temp gauge, and the fans would run for a while after the engine was shut off. Dealer claimes there was no short or broken wire.
Fuses or the power window relays.
Replace the bulbs, change the fuse if its blown, and check the wiring to make sure its not damaged.
Have the wheel bearings checked, as well as the alignment.
bad sensor module, cost you around $400.
Get your wheels checked
Probably a bad exhaust pipe and/or muffler. Have it checked.....
ON MY 01 IMPALA MY TURN SIGNALS STOPPED WORKING SOMETIMES AND THE PROBLEM GOT WORSE UNTIL THEY FINALLY QUIT ALL TOGETHER . THE DEALER TOOK PART OF THE DASH OUT AND INSTALLED A NEW 4 WAY FLASHER AND IT FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR 85 BUCKS .
If your gas gauge is not working on your 2000 Impala you need to take it in to a repair shop. There could be a fuse that needs to be replaced to prevent you from running out of gas.
Could be Warped Rotors. Have them checked.....
I'm having the same trouble with the 2004 Impala.
