Can I use construction glue to install my wood floor? The answer is PROBABLY, BUT; each manufacturer has an approved adhesive & usually for a reason, if you do not use their adhesive (& they can tell if you did or didn't!). if you ever have a problem, they will blame it on the adhesive & pay you nothing.DO NOT take what anyone here says, even if they are right. The maker will want you to use their glue. Construction adhesive will probably cost more than the right glue so why would you want to take the chance? The Rev sez Hope this helps"No one cares how much you know, till they know how much you care."
