This is a safety critical system on your car, you need to have the basic back ground knowlege to perform this task. The answer below is geared toward such a person on purpose. The front calipers are nothing special, remove the bolts. The rear calipers can be a fight, undo the park brake cable first, the adjuster is under the rear of the car, and the cables get disconected at the caliper park brake arms. There are little tangs that hold the cable into the bracket, I have a small blunt chisel and hamer I release these with. The pistons cant be pried in as the piston must be turned toget it to retract. You may have to sand the lip off the rotor to get the caliper off the rotor. Retained the same as the front with two bolts.

No, you do not need to remove the spindle. The rotors are semi-pressfit to the spindle. Do NOT try to PRY them off. You will just get frustrated. Instead there are two smaller threaded holes in the rotor in between the wheel studs. A bolt (or two and i forget the exact size) can be threaded into these alternating evenly between the two thusly "pressing" the rotor off the spindle. It really rather easy and should not involve much effort at all. You can use the lug nuts facing backwards to press the rotor back on in the same manner. DON'T use the wheel to press the rotor back on. It's not good for the wheel and it doesn't make sense to use a 350 buck wheel as a press.

They are pressed on, I have had to always take in to a shop in order to replace the rotor, some shops cant even get them off. Huge pain. I have always like this truck and have over 208k miles on it, but the brakes and the coolant system have always needed attention. GM underbraked this truck. . You have to remove the hub bearing assy on these models to get the rotor off. The rotor comes off from the back of the hub. The design makes it physically impossible to do it any other way. Look for photos of the hub assy. and the rotor and you will see what I mean.
