The Slave Cylinder and the Master Cylinder control totally different systems. The Slave has to do with the clutch, and the Master has to do with the brakes. They have nothing in common.
Not Applicable The Saturn 4 cylinder, both the SOHC and DOHC used a chain, and it doesn't need to be replaced unless the engine has OTHER problems.
Sorry You can't you will have to replace the whole housing If the cylinder doesn't turn Your out of luck
yes that is my question
It should be replaced when it begins making a noticeable noise.
The clutch is not adjustable unfortuneately..You can add fluid Beside the brake master cylinder there is a reservoir.. Otherwise It must be replaced It also cannot be bled if the fluid has run out Sorry replace is the only fix
The system needs to be replaced as a whole. Saturn does not let you bleed the Slave, it comes pre-bled.A Haynes manual will walk you through step by step
The cabin filter on a Saturn I200 can be replaced by opening the glove compartment and accessing the filter housing. The filter can then be popped out and a new unit installed.
When the cylinder was replaced, did you get new keys for it also? Using a worn key has this type of symptom regardless of the cylinder.
I found this link on Autozone. It shows how to replace the belt. http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c15280097cee
FOR ME THERE IS NO WAY TO BLEED A CLUTCH ON A SATURN BUT IF YOU REPALCE ONE PART SOMETIME ITS POSSIBLE. 20 % CHANCE .THE ONLY WAY ITS TO REPLACE THE SLAVE AND THE CYLINDER AS A SEALED KIT
The V6 L series engine uses a timing belt, which must be replaced every 100,000 miles. The 4 cylinder Saturn engines use a timing chain that typically does not need replacement until you have a reason to remove the cylinder head.
Some Saturns have a problem with their ignition system. It just freezes up for no reason. You have to replace the ignition cylinder, and probably the ignition switch, too. I have an '06 Ion that just did that a couple weeks ago. I took it to a mechanic, and he had to call Saturn to find out what was wrong with it. They told him to replace the whole steering wheel column, but I found out later that I probably could have just done the ignition switch and cylinder. You have to buy the parts from Saturn, and get the ignition cylinder keyed by a locskmith.
