Fuel pump went out and we replaced it and the car will turn over but won't start and the fuel pump doesn't turn on?

Check the fuel pump relay. Its located on top of the radiator. Its a square box with a wide connector attached to it. Box measurement is approx. 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 4". I hope this help. There is an inertia switch. On my 1999 Taurus it was in the glove box area. If I remember right it is under the right kick panel.
