Why would car sometimes run and idle fine but sometimes stall while idling with clutch in. low oil light also randomly comes on when shifting?

My car does the same thing, except for the low oil... from time to time when I come to a stop I'll push in the clutch and it will randomly stall... I think its b/c my idle is not set high enough, but there could be a different reason...

What could be the problem with a 1995 Mazda mx6 not starting?

I just had this problem with my son's 1996 Miata this past weekend. After checking the battery to make sure it had a full charge I tried to start it again. Finally, in frustration, I jammed the clutch pedal nearly to the floor, and the engine turned over. All this time I hadn't pushed to clutch pedal in enough to let the car start. This could be your problem too. It's a start, anyway.

How do you remove the airbag on a 1995 Ford Escort wagon 1.9 in order to replace the gas gauge light?

You shouldn't have to remove the airbag in order to replace the gas gauge light. The steering column is held up by a couple of retaining bolts. Remove these bolts and the steering column will lower enough that instrument panel will come out easier. The steering column won't drop to the floor when you do this but will hang in midair. If you have a tilt wheel, you might have to adjust the wheel tilt to allow the panel to come out easier. Don't forget to remove the steering column cover though.

How do you bleed a clutch on a 1985 f350?

This works on clutches and brakes and I have never known it to fail. The bleeder screw is on the slave cylinder on the transmission. Get a piece of tubing that will fit over the screw and put it over the screw and the other end in a container with enough brake fluid in it to cover the end of the hose. Loosen the screw a turn or two and slowly pump the clutch pedal. Watch the master cylinder so that it doesn't run dry. One full master cylinder of fluid should be enough to bleed the clutch. With the clutch pedal up, remove the hose and tighten the bleeder screw.

How do i replace the clutch on a 2006 Kia Spectra?

Replacing on a fwd car is an involved process. There is a step by step video on youtube . that you can view the process step by step... but in general You would need to... 1. put the car on jack stands, choke the rear wheel. 2. remove the battery , intake tubing/air filter box, sensors, etc. to access the transmission. 3. disassemble the d/s front suspension enough to move the axle and transmission later. 4.With CAUTION) support the engine/transmission with jacks and/or engine brace( a specialty tool) to be able to remove brackets to the transmission and cross member and not have the motor/trans. fall on you. 5. Unbolt most of the transmission, leaving the top one loose, to keep the transmission from falling. You will then need to separate the transmission from the engine by pressing the clutch pedal with the help of a pair of prybars. 6. You can move the transmission enough to access the clutch access the clutch/throughout bearing/flywheel. 7. You could then replace the needed parts/ lube the fork/etc. and reverse the process to reassemble.

Does the clutch in a 1994 Escort need to be replaced if it stops engaging when the vehicle is hot?

It sounds like you have a worn out clutch disc or the pressure plate is not applying enough pressure to the disc. Either way, it does sound like you are ready for a new clutch.

How do you adjust a hydraulic clutch 2003 dodge diesel 3500 6 speed?

There are no adjustments on a HYDRAULIC CLUTCH SYSTEM. The clutch disc is ether worn out, or the clutch slave cylinder is going bad. Is the clutch master cylinder full of fluid ?? If not there is a leak in the system, and you are not depressing the throw out bearing far enough. and that makes it hard to shift.

How do you adjust the clutch on a 2003 Kia Rio?

they have a cable clutch, so you will have to find where the cable connects to the motor and transmission and there will be a nut on the end of the clutch cable.....tighten the nut ...but not too much you will have to tighten a little and see if that's enough however normally it is the begining of the end when you have to do that.

How do you adjust the clutch on a Honda cr250 dirt bike?

The best thing to do is find the 2 adjustment screws for the clutch which are located attached to your clutch lever housing and on the clutch cable. Turn them outwards (lossen them) so that it tightens the cable and spreads the clutch plates apart, remember that you should end up with a gap (about the thinckness of a nickel) where the clutch lever and the housing rest as not to have your clutch partially engaged. If that is not enough and the bike wants to surge forward a bit then just adjust one of the screws (usually the one on the cable) until the clutch completely disengages the plates and the bike should not surge forward at all.

How do you adjust the clutch on a yfm 200?

You have two adjustment points that can be adjusted. The first one I would attempt would be on the clutch perch (lever). It is the adjuster on the cable side of the perch. Run it out until you have no play in the lever then back it off until you have approx 1/8" of play. If you overtighten the cable it is prove to damage the clutch and/or clutch rods. If you don't have enough adjustment on the perch you will have to remove the clutch cover and adjust it in the middle of the clutch basket. If that doesn't work you either need new clutch plates or have other issues ie...red welding to ball bearing separating the 2 push rods, push lever damaged or worn...etc....

How do you adjust the clutch on a 1996 Ford Aspire?

Look on the end of the clutch cable, if you can't find it have someone push the clutch, theres a nut, 12 mm I think but mine turned by hand easy enough, unscrew to make the clutch engage closer to the floor. The exact spec has you measure the free play at the top of the pedal, I don't that info handy, you can do it by feel, trial and error.

What would cause your rm125 dirt bikes clutch not engage?

bad clutch cable, or not enough oil on the clutch plates.

Why would a brand new clutch slip?

Possibly the clutch was installed facing the wrong way, or the clutch has not had enough time to properly seat.

How do you adjust the clutch on a 1996 Harley Wide Glide?

Remove the Clutch inspection cover from the primary cover (also called the derby cover). Loosen the clutch cable. The cable adjuster is located about half way down the clutch cable. Adjust so you have a lot of free play in the clutch lever. Go to the the clutch at the primary. You will see an Allen screw in the center of the clutch assembly, with a lock nut. Loosen the locknut several turns and turn in the Allen screw until resistance is felt. (just until you feel it start to tighten.) Then back off the Allen screw 1/2 to 1 turn counter clockwise. Tighten the lock nut to 72 to 120 in lbs of torque. Squeeze the clutch lever several times. Now go back to the clutch cable adjuster. Adjust it so you have about 1/8 inch of play between the clutch lever and the housing, when you squeeze the lever just enough to take up slack in the cable. Tighten the jam nut on the Cable adjuster and reinstall the Primary Cover. You should replace the cover gasket at this time. the torque for the cover is 84-108 inch lbs of torque.

How do you adjust clutch on 1993 Mazda Protege DX which has to be pushed all the way in and shifted carefully and hydraulic cylinder cannot be located under hood for adding fluid?

The clutch master cylindar should be right beside the brake master cylindar. I have run across a couple of cars that have the brakes on the passenger side but never the clutch. I assume this holds true for your car. As far as adjusting a hydraulic clutch, they don't. If the clutch is not pushing in enough, it is usually the slave cylindar which is located on the bell housing of the transmission. They get worn and need to be replaced.

Washing machine not spinning fast enough?

You might want to check the belt or the clutch if it is a GE. The V-belt is probably slipping on the pulley. If there is no tension spring or place to adjust the tension, try belt dressing or replace the belt.
