The radio code should be on a credit card which is in the car's documentation
If you don't have the code then contact your local Jaguar dealer, they should be able to look up the code on their computer using the VIN
Once you have the number......
Turn the key in the ignition until the warning lights shoe
Switch on the radio by turning the on/of knob clockwise
The radio should be blank
Enter the 4 digit code using the preset buttons.
If an incorrect code has been entered......
Hold the CATS button for at least 3 seconds, the number should disappear
Enter the correct number
You only have 3 goes to get it right - if you've entered 3 incorrect numbers you'll need to contact your Jaguar dealer to find out how to release the radio,. This may involve:
- disconnecting the battery
- reconnecting the battery
- running the car for at least an hour
- repeating the steps above
You need to wait until the radio comes out of lock mode. keep the radio switched on, this can take between a minute and several hours. when the radio resets, you can then enter the code as normal
1) Disconnect the battery which will cause the radio to go into lock mode.
2) Reconnect the battery
3) Switch on the radio - you should have a blank display
4) Use the preset buttons (1-6) to enter the 4 digit security code
You have a limited number of attempts to enter the code (3 I think) before the radio locks you out
The radio code can be obtain free of charge from any Mercedes dealership. Follow code punch in procedure.
this code is a deterant for thieves.if your radio is stolen it cannot be used without the code .
I just purchased a 2009 Jetta SE and the radio was in SAFE 2 mode. The dealer tried the radio code but could not get the radio to a point to enter it. I read a number of threads and tried many suggestions, leave the car in the Aux mode for an hour, hold down the seek and mode buttons etc. Finally I disconnected the battery waited a few moments and re-connected. I figured maybe this would show me the screen to enter the code but instead the radio booted up with no code and works fine. The dealer suggested I return when the service dept was open, none of the sales people had a clue.
if your radio is theft protected you may have a short and that would triger the radio to go into theft mode enter the security code if this is a factory radio and it doesnt work call the dealership parts dept and give code
Go to this website and they can get you your unlock code. http://www.delcolockcodes.com Good luck! It means that you have tried to enter the 4-6 digit code to many times and it has went into INOP mode. In order to get it out of INOP and into LOC mode again so you can enter the code you must drive the vehicle for 1 hour or keep the igintion in the on position for 1 hour.
You need the 5-digit code for the radio. The system locks when power has been disabled or the radio removed from the vehicle. Call a MB dealership. I have the same problem with my '99 SLK230. I know the code too. The book says if power has been interupted and the code has been entered incorrectly more than 3 times, the system will lock itself out. However, the book also says that once the radio is on again it should reset itself in 10 minutes or so. I have let my car run with the radio turned on for more than 30 minutes and it didn't reset so I could enter the code. Now, does anyone know how to fix this?
Depending on the make and model of the radio you input the code using 1-4 buttons then enter it by pressing 5 I will include a YouTube video tutorial about ford code entry instructions (see related links)and other tips with more details about how to calculate your ford radio code absolutely for free.
You need your operator's folder. In there is a booklet about the radio. it will have a code you need to enter to get the radio out of "safe" mode. the code is unique to each radio and car.
Your owners manual will have the code. Hold down the mode and scan buttons at the same time then enter the code using the # buttons.
i have brought a car but the radio is showing safe mode and unfortunately i do not have a code are you able to supply the code radio is blaupunk 300 car is a vauxhall zafira 2002
Press and hold down the "mode" button until the radio beeps, then enter the code. I can't remember if you have to press "mode" again after entering the code or not, but i don't think so. If you don't know the code to your radio you will have to go into a L.R. dealership and they can tell it to you.
Turn the ignition to the on position but do not start the engine. Leave it sitting like that for one hour. The radio should then switch out of safe mode and allow you to enter the correct code.
When you unhook your battery cables, it clears your "code" on your radio. It will have to be reset before the radio will work. I copied and pasted the below info for you....On mine, I enter my code using the number buttons for your preset station then push mode button. When the radio goes to "CODE" you need to enter the correct code. This can usually be obtained from a dealer, even if the radio has been switched; otherwise you need to return it to Becker. I don't believe there's a "reset" function like on the newer radios. It either goes to "CODE" or works. If you enter the wrong code more than three time the radio will lock up and needs to be left on for as long as twenty four hours, before CODE will come up again. The dealer if they are decent can supply Mercedes radio codes with the VIN or the radios serial number. Becker will do the same but will Charge you $30.00. you have to enter the 4 digit safe code found in your owners manual
The preset buttons on a Hyundai will also act as dials to properly scroll through the appropriate numbers. To enter into the code mode press and hold down the 'band' button for 3 seconds.
Turn the radio off, press AS and hold, press on button. 7safe comes up but leave it in n this mode for about 10 minutes or so then as if by magic the code - - - - comes up. Enter code as normal and radio ok. woot :-)
