I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, I OPENED THE BLEEDER AND RELEASED THE PRESSURE, PUSHED THE LINE IN AND FLUID SQUIRTED OUT, THE LINE STAYED IN PLACE LIKE IT SHOULD AND THEN I BLEED IT AND IT WORKED GREAT. mAKE SURE THERE IS NO DIRT IN THE WAY AND IT IS THE SAME SIZE IF YOU WERE REPLACING IT. mAKE SURE THEY DIDN'T SELL YOU THE WRONG ONE.
Yes , the slave cylinder for a HYDRAULIC clutch is inside the manual transmission bellhousing. It slides over the transmission input shaft and is bolted to the transmission
Yes , the slave cylinder for your hydraulic clutch is inside the manual transmission bell housing. It slides over the input shaft to the transmission and is bolted in place inside the transmission . To CHANGE the slave cylinder the transmission has to be removed , but the lines to the slave cylinder CAN BE BLEAD from a fitting that extends outside of the transmission bellhousing
Bad or improperly installed throw out bearing? broken throw out bearing fork? hydraulic? bad slave cylinder?
you just replace it
you need to be more specific on year model there are a few different designs that all remove differently
this is a 2 man job period, top up the master cylinder and pump your petal as you would doing a brake bleed job, there will be a master slave cylinder on the transmission with a nipple on it (I don't know the actual size but I believe its 5/16" or so) it will look and feel like a grease nipple, just crack that open and shut it when the petal hits the floor, repeat as nesscary, don't forget to keep toping the clutch master cylinder The slave clyinder on my 1991 F 150 does not have a bleeder nipple !
You Must remove the trans to access the slave... on the 5 speed for sure.
4 nuts under the dash around the brake pedal
Hello I am a big ford man and the answer is that it should connect with out a problem. See in 92 through 96 are all the same thing. I don't see why it would not interchange.
if its a standard/manual truck. slave cylinder would be located on the firewall next to the brake booster, and would take standard dot 3 brake fluid.
