If you suspect Cyberbullying, a quick way to spot and track information about yourself is by looking your name up on popular search engines such as Google or Yahoo.

If you click on the links and find that your name has been vandalized, report this to the individual website so that any postings can be removed immediately.

If the situation does not improve, report this to the police.

There are lots of ways to tell if someone is being cyberbulied. One way is that they regularly receive disturbing emails texts, pictures or phone calls from the same person. Another is that they seldom check emails their voicemail or other forms of communication, in attempt to avoid being cyberbulied.

• The only way you will ever know for sure if your friend is being Cyber bullied is to ask your friend. Cyber bullying is at an all time high. British Columbia, Canada has taken a pro active approach in stopping any form of bulling at school or on the internet and a few days ago it was 'pink shirt day' with 'stop bullying' printed on the T-shirt (which includes Cyber bullying and was created by students.) It is highly suggested that students in schools who do not bully either at school or on the Internet form a group to be proactive in stopping the bullying in their school. This can be done by seeing the Principal of that school; the teacher to help set up the program and a meeting every so often with parents to enlighten the parents from a teens prospective view as to how difficult it is for many teens to deal with the terrible pain bullying creates and sometimes resulting in a student taking their own life because of it. For those students that do not bully, but walk by those that are being bullied are just as guilty as the bully themselves. Perhaps you could try to start an anti bullying program in your school.

If you are active online, then usually you would know it. You would find it on one of the places where you regularly hang out. But if you are not active online or the bullies are bullying you in your absence on some site you don't use, then you will likely find out through your friends, online circles, or even telephone.

For instance, there was a man who didn't have a computer and had never been on Yahoo! Then all of a sudden, he started getting many pornographic calls and dating offers from gay men. He asked them where they got his name, and they claimed he had a dating profile in Yahoo! Personals. While Yahoo! refused to disclose the information of whoever created the account without a court order, they did agree to delete the impersonating account. So he found out from the phone calls that he had been the victim of cyberbullying.
