As yummy as that other answer sounded, here is a better idea. If you don't wanna use Jello(who wouldn't?) then use pudding. Here is how the whole cell would be if u wanted to make it edible: Cell membrane: Cake. Cytoplasm: Pudding(whatever flavor)Nucleus: Cookie Nucleolus: M+M. Rough ER: Bubble gum(Big League Chew) Smooth ER: Regular Bubble Gum. Golgi Apparatus: Twizzlers cut to fit and use icing to hold it together. Mitochondria: Jelly Bean, But hollow it out. Ribosomes: Sprinkles. peroxisomes: strawberry whoppers. Lysosomes: Whoppers. Centrioles Jolly Ranchers. Vacuoles Peanut M+Ms

I used this for my Biology assignment so i hope it helps!!!! I am only in 9th grade so if ya have anything else let me know!!!!! Thanks and good luck!

I'm in 8th grade and I'm doing something like that. Jello sounds absoulutely disgusting so I don't see why everyone suggests it. Anyways, I'm making a cake in a square pan, and then I'm just gonna use many different colors of frosting and many different shapes to represent all it's organelles. I hope you consider my idea and good luck!

You can use jello for the cytoplasm, and use things such as canned peaches, Pears, or jelly beans for the organelles.
