you are best to use a hoist if not you need to get the car as high as you can the remove shafts and then wiring and cooler lines, then you need to remove the cross member and best to have a jack under so it dont drop to far down, then lower it till it dont go no lower and leave the jack under it,then remove the converter bolts and starter bolts, then remove the bell housing bolt and the box is all but out, have fun and dont drop it on your head.

Can a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder be towed behind a motorhome?

If you have a manual transmission, all you have to do to flat tow it is put it into neutral. If it's a 4x4 and you have a manual transfer case, you can manage by putting the transfer case in neutral, whether it has an automatic or manual transmission. If it's a 2WD with an automatic, or a 4x4 with both an automatic transmission and an electronic transfer case with no neutral position, you'll need a trailer or else you'll need to remove either the driveshafts or axle shafts.
