I had to remove the glove box to get at the right side through there and pop it out, then just pried my way in the left side - had to use quite a bit of force. That factory CD player was garbage.
BUY A STEREO REMOVER KIT FROM Walmart, ABOUT $5.00. IT'S WELL WORTH IT. TAKE OFF THE SIDE CAPS WITH A FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVER. USE THE DESIGNATED TOOL (A "U" SHAPE) TO GO IN THE SMALL SLOTS AND RELEASE THE CLASPS. THEN, THE STEREO/CD PLAYER WILL SLIDE RIGHT OUT.
Well I had a 1995 Protege but I think is on the same place. It's beehint the right corner of the front cover. You have to remove the black cover under the car to see it. Mazda hide pretty well.
Sorry..there is no cabin filter for protege..mine is 2000 model.
Replace the Flasher Relay.
yes, some of them, but not all.
Hi! The fuel doors are not the same size.
No, you'll need an intake hose for either a 97 or 98
The horn fuse is the same as the stop lamp fuse
Yes, you can use SAE 5W30. Mazda recommends it in cold climates.
you have 2 horns' both close to the head litghts on left and right side
Follow the hose coming off of the top drivers side of the radiator. Where it meets with the engine there is a housing attached by 1 bolt and one nut. remove the housing and the thermostat is underneath it.
You could if you had 1992, 1993 or 1994. 165/80/13 will be your best bet.
There are two posts on the starter solenoid when the starter is in position the top one is for the positive battery cable. The bottom one should have a very short cable that enters the starter casing. I just replaced the starter in my 98 mazda protege yesterday.
