undo the hub nut in centre of wheel it is very tight so a long bar required. Undo the balljoint so the the strut can move freely and then just pull on the hub and the shaft will pop out of the transmission depending on the shaft you will have to undo the bearing carrier but this is on the long shaft not the short one.
I had that in a vehicle i used to drive, and they had to replace the whole wiring system inside the transmission
Remove the engine and drive shaft
If your Volvo is an automatic transmission try changing the fuel filter.
my automatic transmission is stuck in neutral. how do you get it into gear
An automatic transmission has some advantages over a manual transmission. An automatic is easier to drive in traffic and on hills, as you do not have to keep operating the clutch.
Drive. If it has a circle around it, it has automatic overdrive.
I second this question--only for a 1992 Volvo 240. My girlfriend would like to drive home...although she gets to stay here until it's fixed. ;)
DRIVE!
Check transmission fluid and fill to mark on dipstick. If this doesn't help, expect to replace the transmission.
there is no drain plug on that transmission.you must remove the transmission oil pan and wile your there replace the filter.
aod stands for automatic over-drive and is a common ford transmission
Your automatic clutches inside the transmission is failing. You will need to have the transmission rebuilt, or just replace it with a new one. That decision will be left up to you.
