You can find a camshaft positioning sensor and any other Daewoo parts through Lipscomb Mitsubishi. How to change it I don't know if anyone has the answer please E-mail me
--I have a 2000 Nubira (2.0L engine) and the camshaft position sensor is located inside the timing belt cover, on the passenger side of the engine, and behind the timing belt. The right engine mount bracket has to be removed so make sure you support the engine first--the alternator seems to have a pretty stout bracket to place the support under. The sensor is located towards the very top, behind and between the two camshaft sprockets/gears.
The camshaft position sensor is located on the end of the camshaft housing, on a 2002 Daewoo. The sensor should be labeled as such.
The camshaft position sensor is located in the engine compartment of the 2002 Daewoo Leganza. It is at the end of the camshaft housing.
On the 2000 model it is part of the distributor and you either replace complete distributor or try to dismantle the distributor and replace sensor only.
In order to replace the camshaft position sensor, you would need to disconnect the electrical plug holding it in. Using a socket, hold down the bolt and remove the camshaft position sensor.
I started by removing the camshaft cover, then I realized the many other parts have to be removed before being able to succesfuly replace the sensor.... I also would like to know the procedure. Thanks

do you need to take off the timing belt to replace a camshaft position sensor on a 2006 kia sorento
The camshaft position sensor is located near the thermostat housing. You should replace the crankshaft position sensor as well. This one is much harder to locate....it is on the backside of the engine that is between the firewall and the engine block. Both use the same sensor.
