How do you replace the water pump on a 1995 Dodge Caravan 3.0L?

This is a big job compared to some. The water pump on this Mitsubishi engine is under the timing cover and is run by the timing belt. Replacement requires removal of all accessories (alternator, Power Steering pump, A/C compressor) as well as supporting engine and removing front mounts. After you get all this off. remove plastic covers, release belt tensioner, remove timing belt, and unbolt and remove the pump. Installation is reverse of removal; PLUS: camshafts will be out of time and MUST be realigned. Replacing the timing belt at this time is a no-brainer (unless you had fun doing all this work in the first place!).
