on an 89 It is connected to your pointer for the transmission in the dashboard if that isin't working, maybe the connecting cable came off, then the switch will not be activated
This is a problem with some Neons. There is a block of wires (controller/bus) where most of the dashboard wiring connects. This "block" of wiring overheats and shorts out. It is not an uncommon problem with Neons. Some times lifting the dashboard will "unshort" the block. You may want to try to put a heat sync on it or try some other cooling method ASAP as this problem tends to get worse as time goes on.
Either traction control is turned off manually or there is a problem with the system & it's not working properly.
Check grounding wire's then use a test light
First check your fuses if none are blown then check the switch.
Because your odometer, or something connecting the odometer to the battery, is broken. Most likely the odometer is the problem if the rest of your dashboard is working fine.
1- the light switch, or 2- the wiring on the plug to the light switch from the car, or 3- a blown fuse
My dashboard needles and half the lights of my dashboard quit working MONTHS ago and I'm too nervous to go see how much it will cost me. I have the same car, 2001 L-300 and I have had SO MANY problems with it, that this is one I'm learning to live with until I find the time to get it looked at. If you do find out what it could be, I'm curious to know as well!DRL (daytime running lights) - its likely the relay, & dashboard issue's commonly caused by lost ground distribution. This is not absolute.
Probabaly a loose connection. Hit the top of the dashboard hard above the instruments and it should work. common problem with reault meganes too Probabaly a loose connection. Hit the top of the dashboard hard above the instruments and it should work. common problem with reault meganes too
The fuse probably blew that controls the dashboard lights.
If turn signals are not blinking on the dashboard but they are still working, the cause might be a burned out bulb in one of the blinkers on the outside of the car. There might also be a fuse burned out or bulbs burned out in the dash. Even the flasher can be the problem in this situation.
