On the downpipe before the catalytic converter.
O2 sensors are usually on the exhaust manifold. Actually on the '96 Galant, one is in the header pipe (the pipe running below the engine between the manifold and the catalytic converter) and the other is in the catalytic converter.
Sensor 1 is before the cat
Bank 1 is the side of the engine near the firewall. Bank 2 near the radiator. Sensor 1 is before the catalyse converter sensor 2 after the catalyse converter. In your case it is the O2 sensor that behind the firewall and after the CC.
you have or should have two oxygen sensors on exhuast pipe. one before catalytic converter and one after it.depending on which engine you have you usually can see the one closest to engine from under hood.second one " SAFELY" jack up car and look just past catylitci converter should see it easily.
Depends on the year of the car. If the 3000gt is a 91-93 model then the oxygen sensor should be right before the catalytic converter sticking off of the exhaust pipe. If it is a 94-99 model then there will be one before the catalytic converter and one right after it as well.
The gas tank of a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant holds 12 gallons of fuel. This allows for over 300 miles of travel before refueling.
There is a sensor before each converter and one after each converter.
Downstream O2 sensor is an O2 sensor after the catalytic converter. Upstream O2 sensor is an O2 sensor before the catalytic converter.
1995 2.4l galant has two oxygen sensors. one before and one after catalytic converter. Get some WD-40 and spray were they are screwed into exhaust system ,then disconnect oxygen sensors and use good size wrench to loosen. When you put back in or purchaes new ones make sure you coat threads with antiseize compound before installing, unless you never ever want to get them ou again.OH the second sensor is very easy to disconnect if you take out front drivers seat., 4 bolts and its out.
I believe bank 1 sensor 1 is Passenger side before catalytic converter. sensor 2 is after catalytic converter. bank 2 sensor 1 is Driver side before catalytic converter. sensor 2 is after catalytic converter.
it depends on your engine: 1) 4G64/G (galant?) 3-7 before tdc 2) 4G64/L (lancer?) 2-8 before tdc
