The antennae is located in the right-side window of the cargo area. Look for thin lines on the glass.
You don't "set" a timing belt. There is no adjustment, either it's right or it's not. You change a timing belt at whatever interval Subaru recommends for your Forester. --Ken
Under the hood on the right (passenger) side on the firewall near the hood hinge. It is black with white lettering "FWD". Subaru does not recommend that you place the vehicle in FWD mode for every day driving. It is for use only as a test mode because it does change the handling characteristics of your Forester. --Ken

The heated mirrors on my 1999 Subaru Forester are controlled by the rear window defogger switch which is located in the dashboard console above the heater controls and to the right of the hazard flasher switch. I'm not sure whether the heated mirrors were optional on the early Foresters or not. Anyway, the heated mirrors (and the rear window defogger) will stay on for about 15 minutes when you press the switch. You can turn them off before then if everything has defogged already. Also, the switch only works with the ignition on.

In the 2011 Forester, it's at the bottom edge of the plastic housing for the dashboard, on the far left, right next to the driver's door. It can't be seen, but it can be felt. Nor is it mentioned in the owner's manual, which is more interested in the proper use of the cupholders.
The rear washer pump is on the windshield washer bottle, right beside the front washer pump. Take the bottle out of the car and simply remove the old and put in the new.--Ken
It is part of the airconditioner system and is located (on a 2001 Forester) under the dash on the front passenger side (below the glove compartment). It is located behind the glove box and can be accessed by removing several screws and two clips on the right side of the glove box. check the maintenance manual but all you need to do is unhook the power going to the light then take out the rubber linning and unscrew the retaining ring then replace lightbulb
it's either in one of two places on the forester: 1 style is mounted to the gas fill pipe,you have to pull the right rear wheel it's behind the plastic cover mounted on the tube. the other is mounted inside the vehicle in the right rear , but you've got to remove the interior trim panel to get to it,it's on the inside wheel well. mike_beglin@yahoo.com
