If you lift up on the wiper arm, you'll see a metal tab at the base of the wiper. Slide the locking tab ut with a flat bladed screw driver. Hold it out while gently, but steadily pulling up on the wiper arm. Once starts to come, continue to pull straight up.

Last week the linkage on my wiper let go....removing the plastic to get at is not for the faint at heart. It involves removing the wiper arms, which is the only hard part but its a pain. The wiper arms are splined on, and held on with clips underneath, they have to be pryed off, and then lined up PERFECTLY afterwards. Other than the wiper arms, there are a few small screws in the pastic, and the washer lines are attached to this piece, so watch out that you dont break them off.
Remove the wiper arms first. Then remove the torx screws that hold the plastic cowl in place.
Take off the bolts at the bottom of the wiper arms and you may have to wiggle the arms back and forth to work the wiper arms off.
