Defective flasher?
Answer #2I had the same problem (maybe), what you want to do is take off the assembly for the turn signal knob, open it up and check if a little pin is broken off. Mine was broken and i fixed it by getting a thin piece of metal (cylindrical) heating it up and sticking it in where the pin was. It has been working like that for me for almost 3 years now, and it saved me money. The dashboard lights on a 1997 Eagle Talon can be changed by reaching up into the dash to get to the bulbs. Another way is to remove the dashboard screws and remove the front of the instrument panel.
Could be the bulbs or the fuses or the flashers or the signal switch assembly
It could be the turn signal bulbs, some vehicles use separate bulbs for the hazard and turn signals. It could also be a bad switch or wires for the turn signals.
The year, make and model would help but, check the fuses, the bulbs, the flasher relays and last but not least, the switch.
Turn signal flasher
have you tried replacing the flasher u need to replace the flasher can for the turn signals there are 2 one for hazards and one for turn signals usually found in the fuse box, and cost about 3 bucks
Look at the relay for the flashers, that should fix your problem.
I have found that moisture can cause that problem you may also want to check your fuse and bulbs if you see moisture try to get it as dry as possible
There are a number of reasons that your signals might not be working. First off, I would check your fuses to make sure none of them are blown; next, check your bulbs. If those are all okay it might be your turn signal relay--in many car models these are located around the fuse panel somewhere, although they may not be immediately visible--also check to see if your hazard lights are working--if they are, and your fuses and bulbs aren't burnt it's probably your signal relay (note: there is one for the hazards and one for the turn signals) If your hazards and your turn signals are not working you may have a more in depth electrical problem, or both relays could be blown--however unlikely. One of the last things I would look at is the actual switch in the driving column that turns on your signals.
Turn signals just quit working- have replaced flasher- checked all bulbs and fuses, checked all obvious wires, cleaned grounds, replaced the turn signal switch (that was an adventure). At a loss- any help out there? Hazards work fine- all other lights work fine- turn signals dead
NORMALLY this mean a bulb is out, but it can mean your flasher isn't the correct one. Some cheap heavy-duty flashers for towing will do this.
Two separate flasher relays, one for the signals and one for the hazards. They are both located behind the plastic lower dash panel aprox under the radio. The lower panel must be removed to gain access to the flashers. Be sure to check the fuses and bulbs also.
