he killed one of her friends/her boyfriend
Cherry tells Ponyboy that she can't visit Johnny in the hospital because the Socs and Greasers are enemies, and it wouldn't be safe for her to be seen with him.
"He killed Bob"
Thats all she wants to admit to Pony. But there may be some other stuff that she doesn't tell him.
He killed one of her friends/her boyfriend. Even if it was in self-defense, she still couldn't set that fact aside, to go see him.
Johnny killed Bob because Bob and his friends had beat him up before and he was scared. Also, the Socs were drowning Pony and it was the only way to save him.
tell why pony and johnny end up sitting next to marcia and cherry
One reason is that Johnny is Ponyboy's best friend. Another reason is he needed his best friend at the moment and Johnny was not going any where as he was not wanted at home and he had been asleep in the lot. Johnny has been there for pony, so that is probably why.
Well, Ponyboy had "stolen their girls" or presumably had conversations with their previous mates. They were jealous. He didn't apologize (he didn't need to, they were being unfair), so they decided to attack him and his brother.
Johnny and ponyboy differ from dally because johnny and ponyboy aren't "tuff" like dally is. Dally has a mean and rough look to him unlike pony and johnny, and dally's eyes show that he has seeen things no other person has.
One half of him believes that Darry does not love him, but the other half knows that Darry loves him and cares for him. It is just that Ponyboy for whatever reason does not want to believe it. He most likely talked himself into believing that lie.
They both like to finght and get into the trouble. And also, Johnny said that Dally is galent, Cherry<the soc who like to help greasers> said to Pony that Bob is special in some way, so they both like to fight and they also both have the merit.
Johnny Cade's parents treated him with both verbal, and physical abuse. His mother was an alcoholic, and his father would beat Johnny for no reason. Ponyboy Curtis states in the book, the Outsiders; "Without the gang, Johnny wouldn't know what love or affection was."
A few similarities between the movie and book are that the movie still has the complete Greaser gang (Ponyboy, Johnny, Sodapop, Darry, Dally, Two-Bit, and Steve) and also Johnny and Dally still die in the movie but the movie begins with Johnny and Pony following Dally around town.when johnny kills bob and the rumble Now a few differences are that they dont have the court scene, Darry doesn't slap Pony he pushes him down; Pony isn't sick after Johnny and Dally die; the movie doesn't mention Mickey Mouse, (Soda's horse); Sodapop and Dally aren't blonds like they are in the book, instead they are brunettes; the church that Ponyboy and Johnny run away to isn't on a hill; when the church catches on fire pony and johnny doesn't save the kids in a hall way; randy doesn't visit Ponyboy after the rumble the book is a lot better than the movie because there is no detail left out and in the movie there's a lot . I have like 37 differences 1 is that the movie never mentions sodapops girl friend. They don't do acrobatic stuff off the porch. Ponyboy didn't fall asleep on Johnny's lap while riding the train. In the book Soda gives Ponyboy money (a check) Well in the book he didn't. Johnny never made a joke about Jerry about how fat he was. They mention that Marcia was from the south side instead of west side. At the beggining of the movie they never chased after those kids and picked on them in the book. Also the book was written in ponyboy's perspective and the movie was not the movie was written in everyone's perspective.
Ponyboy and Johnny thought that they accicently set the church on fire by smokeing and dropping it when they were hideing out from the killing of the Soc (Bob). They then went in to save the kids thinking the whole reason was because of them.
Its your opinion, technically. Although you could think of Johnny as being a murderer for stabbing and killing Bob...think about it this way. Johnny killing Bob saved his own life and Ponyboy's; he wasn't being selfish and looking out just for himself. Also, it was self-defense, so I would consider that a good enough reason to fight back. Also, Johnny risked his own life getting Ponyboy out of the church before himself (saving Pony's life) and he saved a bunch of little kids. I consider that heroic.
