If it's a Sport Shift (auto), then you use Honda's auto Transmission Fluid. If it's a manual, Honda's manual transmission fluid. Use no other fluid in your Honda.
It came in both traditional manual transmission and sequential "SportShift", which is automatic transmission that has a shifter that allows for upshifts and downshifts.
The type of automatic transmission fluid that you should put in your 1997 Honda Prelude varies depending on the transmission. Honda recommends that you use their own brand of ATF when you replace the fluid in the SportShift transmission.
What's the question?
Use ONLY genuine Honda MTX or ATX transmission fluid. Anything else just doesn't cut the mustard
Hey. I hate to give you or anyone with the same problem any bad news. But I have a 2000 prelude type sh. It want go in reverse check the cables under the car or take it to a transmission shop it could be that. But my cable was fine and it turned out to be my transmission. Hope this helps
"Honda Genuine" transmission fluid is the correct fluid type. Specifically use this type or it will cause damage.
A Honda's resale value depends on the type of Honda you are interested in. A 2001 Honda Prelude has a higher resale value than the 2002 Honda Passport.
I think you mean hydraulic clutch. I believe your model is hydraulic.
I am in the process of replacing the speed sensor in my 90 prelude. It is located on the transmission. with a small cable with a plug on the end of it. Looking at it from the passenger side . you can see a picture of it on eBay.. just type in 1990 Honda speed sensor.. there are several...
how to make base prelude h22a engine on type sh 5 speed trans ^^^??? to answer the question. yes a sh transmission with "atts" unit will fit a base prelude (if a h22 motor is used) is it worth it? absolutely not
prelude's depending on spec can most deffinately be awd/4wd.. 100% 4ws,for best results go to a Honda search engine/site & you can read all about body/engine type / drive train / capacity.. even why & how the Honda prelude range was made.
Use nothing but genuine Honda ATF DW-1. Do not use any fluid that claims to be a substitute or you will have rough shifts.
