The most common things I have found in my car is the spark plugs, fuel injector and in desperate need of an oil change.
There could be several reasons why your car is idling hard when the air is on. There could be something restricting air flow to the motor. A mechanic could diagnosis the problem for you.
How would you know about my car? Get literate! The friendly answer is worn engine mounts or to high idle speed.
When the car is at idle, the air conditioner works just as hard as when the car is moving. When the car moves, the engine gets very hot. so the air conditioning works better when your at idle because it doesn't have to cool the heat from the engine.
There is a sensor on that car that tells it if it is cold or hot your car is not coming up to the cold idle speed. If you go to any auto parts store they will check the computer on the car it will tell you a code that will note which sensor. Also check the idle screw on the intake. The tech at the auto parts store will know which one it is.
When the idle goes rough, you must idle the plugs. Else the car plugs roughly.
Rephrase, Idle air control, idle circuit carburetor or
you most likely have a horrible fuel sensory causing your car to be bad at idling. also you may hvae reved your engine to hard and that is causing it to idle.
The car was staying idle.
no .... no way.
Check your idle, your idle might be too low so it is stalling your car.
When the TPS sensor is disconnected from the car in idle, there would be delayed acceleration.
Advantages- more power, better MPG, smoother idle. Disadvantages- more expensive to fix, hard to work on.
