The slave cylinder is a plunger that releases the pressure on the clutch. When you step on the clutch pedal, fluid is forced into the slave which pushes out a rod that pushes against the fork that then pusher against the pressure plate that is between the motor and the transmission.
Either it or the master is bad. Take the line loose on the slave, hold your thumb over the end and have someone push on the clutch. If the master is good, it will force fluid past your thumb. This means the slave is bad. If it doesn't, then it's the master cylinder that's bad. Slave may be also, but one thing at a time.
The slave cylinder is not on the firewall, it is at the transmission. The master cylinder is on the firewall.
Inside the transmission
If you've changed the slave cylinder and bled it several times, the next step would be to check the MASTER cylinder and if that doesn't work then your clutch is burned out.
It is inside the bellhousing. The transmission must be removed to gain access to it.
There is a smaller master cylinder next to the brake master cylinder. The clutch uses brake fluid also. If you mean where does it go if it is low, the slave cylinder on the transmission is probably leaking.
It has to be on the slave cylinder, not sure that was your question.
