It does snow in tropical islands. I live on the island of Hawaii also known as the Big Island. There are two very tall mountains (Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa) that get snow every winter. I have a picture from this morning taken at Hilo Bay toward Mauna Kea...... there is a quite a lot of snow. And it's beautiful.

Countries like Sri Lanka, Philippines, and Ecuador are crossed by the Equator. Countries near the Equator never have snow because those areas have warm climates. Look at the tropical rain forests, like the Amazon, this tropical forest is being crossed by the Equator.

During the summer, the Earth's axis is tilted toward the sun, leading to more direct sunlight and longer days, which results in warmer temperatures. In winter, the Earth's axis is tilted away from the sun, causing less direct sunlight and shorter days, leading to cooler temperatures. Additionally, the angle at which sunlight reaches the Earth's surface varies, affecting the intensity of heat received.
