Speed Sensor on my '98 Mazda B-4000 is on the rear axle housing. Should be the same on your '99 Ranger. Loosen left rear(driver's side) wheel lugs and jack up rear end. Remove wheel. Use jack stands and you should be able to see sensor's electrical connection jutting out from two steel guards mounted on the axle housing. Disconnect the power connection, then unbolt sensor There is a single bolt that holds the sensor to the axle housing. I had to use a mirror to get an idea of what I was doing. The bolt, I believe is 11mm but I used a 1/2 inch socket and that worked just fine. You'll have to twist and tug to get the old sensor out and you are cautioned to clear the area around the sensor so that no bits of dirt or other debris falls into the hole where the sensor is installed.
Tengo una ford ranger de 1991, me esta dando un problema que no se estandarisa, o se que tiene altas y bajas revoluciones que puedo hacer </ P>

Sensor surveillance using RADAR (Radio Direction And Ranging), which is a non-cooperative location system, often producing maps of reflected power intensity arranged in range and direction to provide a plan view of the surveillance area.
looking for an answer to this question "Where is the MAP sensor located in a 6 cylinder Ford ranger 1994 Help! www. motorcraft. com (no spaces) does not list a MAP sensor , it shows an AIR MASS SENSOR which I assume is the MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR which would be mounted close to your air filter housing
yes yes
It's located with the MAF
Some of the 1992 Rangers had the camshaft position sensor on top of the engine in the same hole where the distributor used to be. Some Ranger engines did not use a camshaft sensor at all.
It doesn't have a knock sensor on the 4.0 L OHV in a 1993 Ranger ( my 1995 Ford Explorer 4.0 L OHV engine doesn't have a knock sensor either )

If your looking for the oil level sensor it would be located on the driver side on the oil pan.
It doesn't have one .It has a mass air flow sensor in the air intake tube to the air cleaner .
If you are looking for the oxygen sensor, I don't know the exact location, but all oxygen sensors are located on the exhaust. Start looking from the manifold and follow the exhaust. They just screw into the exhaust pipes. Some are located on or close to the cadylac converter.
Drivers side engine block above starter.
looking for the location of the trans speed sensor on a 2006 ford fusion
The sensor is located behind the intake positioned just like a Chevy distributor. There is some wires coming off of it.
