i don't know about the no fuel thing but check your head gasket and your timing belt it may have jumped time i know that's what was wrong with my gf's
Run a compression test. If compression is down in several cylinders you've probably warped a head. That's a common problem after an engine has overheated, that's why it's so essential that you NEVER allow an engine to run out of coolant, and you should watch the temperature indicator. If an engine dies from being overheated you've probably blown a head gasket.
it means that the car wasnt overheated enough to gt to that point
Needs a new head gasket, and maybe heads and pistons.
If you suspect overheat has caused a problem, you first need to run a compression test. That way you can eliminate some of the problems that are often caused when an engine is overheated. As you're pulling the plugs for the compression test, make sure the plug colors are even, and light to medium grey. Any dark or damaged plugs can indicate other problems. If the compression test indicates that all cylinders have good, even compression and you just have a dark plug, you may have dodged the big expense. Good luck.
Usually when you're continuing to operate a severely overheating car, your rings are destroying themselves on the cylinder walls. This results in less compression, oil consumption and loss of power. Assuming this is the problem, having the engine rebuilt is the only solution for this. You can take it to a mechanic and ask them to check the compression in your cylinders, and they will tell you if this indeed the problem. A compression test won't be expensive... having the engine rebuilt is another story.
Are you talking about an automobile engine or meat? Are you asking about an engine that overheated? Your question makes no sense. Ask it again and be specific as to what has happened, and any symptoms you are having.
Run a "compression test" to see if the engine overheated and warped the head.
Does it have spark?, Compression? Timing?
by compression test
because it's been overheated and damaged.
If the engine was severely overheated, yes that can cause engine failure. If the engine was severely overheated, yes that can cause engine failure.
Most likely it's caused by a damaged head gasket when the head warped. Has the engine overheated at any time in the last few thousand miles?
