Why would 1 set of keys for your 2000 Maxima not work but the other set works fine The engine starts to turn but won't catch.?

I thinks it because the key has a chip that has to be programned.

The cps other wise know as crank position sensor shows the ecm that the engine is turning over and then the ecm turns on the spark and the fuel to allow the car to start. If the cps is bad the ecm won't see the engine turning over so in turn it won't allow fuel our spark.
