Perhaps you were referring to continents instead of countries. The Indian ocean used to border four continents: Africa, Antarctica, Asia, and Australia. However, in 2000, a new ocean was named: the Southern Ocean. It is not truly an ocean, but is classified as such, and completely surrounds the continent of Antarctica, meaning Antarctica borders no other oceans. So the Indian Ocean only borders three continents: Africa, Asia, and Australia.

US stands for United States, so US states is redundant, and all of our states border the Atlantic, Pacific, or Arctic Oceans.

There is no state on the Indian Ocean. There are states that BORDER the Atlantic Ocean, and some that border the Pacific Ocean. But none that are near the Indian Ocean. Thank You.
