Thank you! I would like to make homemade all purpose cleaner and the recipe calls for a 1 cup of vinegar with 5% acetic acid content mixed with a 1 cup of water. I only have vinegar with 9% acetic acid. Therefore I have to use 1.8 - 2 times less 9% acetic acid vinegar to get the same concentration as if using vinegar with 5% acetic acid content?
FOLLOW UP ANSWER: For homemade cleaner, you don't have to be exact. You can use 1/2 - 3/4 cup of the 9% vinegar + 1 cup water (or any multiple thereof).
I'm thinking that if you try to put more baking soda (twice the baking soda or try the same with vinegar).
yes vinegar can. its better than uing lemons just saying :) i used this as a science project, lemon or vinegar. and vinegar seemed to be the best one. the light bulb light was the stronger with vinegar.
The vinegar (weak acetic acid) will de-calcify (remove the calcium) from the bone - thus rendering it flexible...easy to perform yourself. Best to clean the bone well before trying, change vinegar solution each day.
It gets digested. Your stomach is full of acid already--acid far stronger than vinegar is.I think you're supposed to dump the vinegar into the specimen bottle because the pH drop will fool those little dip-stick drug tests. Problem is, not only do they have tests to see if there's vinegar in the sample, a sample of urine with vinegar in it SMELLS like it's got vinegar in it.
Commercial vinegar freezes at 28 degrees Fahrenheit. The reason that vinegar freezes at a lower temperature than water is the acid content.
baking soda is a base while vinegar is an acid
Alcohol vinegar.
I usually use 1 measure of vinegar to 2 measures of oil.
No, carbonic acid is stronger than vinegar. Carbonic acid is formed when carbon dioxide dissolves in water, whereas vinegar is a weaker acid composed of acetic acid.

The label of your vinegar bottle might contain information on alcohol content, but the alcohol would be so negligible that it isn't usually necessary for the percentage to be displayed. Unless you have testing facilities, if you need to know the alcohol content the best way to discover this would be to contact the manufacturer or distributor.
Undistilled vinegar is made by a brewing process instead of a distillation process. It is a stronger acetic acid vinegar.
acetic acid is vinegar!
yes because soda have more caffeine than soda and vinegar.
Yes, but since balsamic vinegar is stronger, you'll want to use less than you would if you used white wine vinegar.
Carbonic acid is stronger than vinegar. Vinegar is mainly acetic acid dissolved in water, whereas carbonic acid is formed when carbon dioxide dissolves in water. Carbonic acid is a weak acid but is stronger than acetic acid.
Sulfuric acid (H2SO4) is stronger than vinegar (acetic acid) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH). Sulfuric acid is a strong acid with a low pH value, while vinegar is a weak acid with a higher pH value. Sodium hydroxide is a strong base.
