hello same thing that happend to me i changed my fuel pump, spark plugs,spark plug wires,crank sensor,disturbutor cap and rotary button and still didn't work and still would not start. and the fuel pump would not kick in,until i changed the disturbutor itself. i changed the whole unit. hope this helps p.s my car works fine now it's a 2.5 cirrus v6 1995

You may have switched the ignition wires when you changed your plugs. I did this once and my kia started, idled terribly, then stalled after trying to drive. Go back and swap the wires that fit on top of your plugs and see what happens.

when working you must have knocked wire loose for battery termial. i changed the battery ends on my zx2 and missed one wire and spedometer stopped working. found the wire hooked it back up and has never failed since. i hope this helps you with your problem.

If you have just changed the battery and you haven't driven car much you need to wait a little while the ECU leans all parameters. In case you drove your car for a while and it's still doing that, erase all codes from the ECU memory.

The coil pack you changed for that cyl. may be burning build up in the cyl. and may clear soon, or the coil pack may have been shorted to hide the fact that cyl. was a oil burner, now its live and burning oil once again

Not sure what other symptoms are present, but if this problem is accompanied by a smooth idle (normal idle) then it could be a bad speed (RPM) sensor. The RPM sensor is about $75 and is located off the camshaft on most Sebrings - your results may vary! Good luck.
